The new Nurture by Nature space has been a bit of an experiment in making room.
At 2,000 square feet, it is larger than our first space, but I wanted it to feel less like a gallery
and more like a place you could actually spend time. A place where the lines between gallery, studio, and home could get a little blurry. Many friends has said “i want to move in” and that’s the biggest compliment . There’s the gallery, but also a den, a kitchen, and the design studio. Antique Vermont furniture sits alongside contemporary work. There are industrial beams and concrete floors, a mural of the dark woods, silver stars, soft shapes, and plenty of room for things to move around.

I wanted the space to reflect the way I work. A client might come to see an exhibition and end up talking about a dining table. An artist’s work might find its way into a project. A piece might sit in the gallery for a while before we figure out where it belongs.
It’s a working space, really. Still evolving. Still filling in.
Right now, I’m most interested in that part: seeing what happens when you make room for the things you haven’t thought of yet.
